A Faithful Friend & Servant of Christ

Mike Scrimpshire at Home with the Lord

Mike Scrimpshire served faithfully for over 18 years as a dedicated volunteer with Mission Columbus, formerly the Hillcrest Ministry Resource Center. His heart for people and unwavering commitment to serving others made a lasting impact on our ministry, investing in the lives of countless individuals.

Three things brought Mike particular joy in his time with us. He loved being part of the annual Christmas Toy Shop, personally calling over 250 families each year to share the good news that they had been selected to receive toys for their children. He also generously used his skills to help people file their taxes — completely free of charge, offering a much-needed service to those who couldn’t afford paid help. Most of all, Mike simply loved serving. He never overlooked the ones society too often forgets. He was a giver, and he truly loved the people who came through our doors.

Mike will be deeply missed-not only for all the ways he served, but most of all for his friendship. He was my best friend. Those who truly knew him know how much his presence meant. His legacy of love, compassion, and faithful service will continue to inspire us.
Please join us in praying for his family and loved ones during this time of remembrance.
