MercyMed
MercyMed of Columbus exists to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and demonstrate His love by providing affordable quality healthcare for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the underserved.
As of July 2025, MercyMed celebrated ten years at Mission Columbus. We operate a full time Primary Care office on the ground floor with a focus on providing healthcare to the poor. We are so thankful for the partnership with Columbus Baptist Association to provide healthcare in the name of Christ in the same building as our ministry partners at Mission Columbus.
Together with the Columbus Baptist Association, MercyMed at Mission Columbus has increased access to healthcare for the poor and underserved
Patient Encounters
From January – September of 2025, MercyMed at Mission Columbus has provided care for 4,176 visits for uninsured and underinsured individuals. We are honored that so many in our community trust us with their healthcare.
We also perform eye scans with an IRIS system, which does imaging of diabetic patients’ eyes and is read remotely by volunteer Ophthalmologists at West Georgia Eye Care.
Services
MercyMed Impact
We are honored to partner with the Columbus Baptist Association to carry out our mission of proclaiming Christ as Lord and demonstrating His love by providing affordable, quality healthcare for the underserved. We offer our services at a reduced rate to the uninsured by placing patients on a sliding fee scale. Patients pay based on household size and income. Most patients pay $35 to be seen by the provider AND have labs drawn.
The partnership with Columbus Baptist Association is efficient to help clients access the services they need. The location of this clinic allows MercyMed to remain proximate to the needs of our neighbors in this part of town, and we are so grateful for the ability to team up with the CBA to do ministry together!
