John LaPierre

MC Ministry Assistant

John began serving as the CBA Ministry Assistant in November 2024 and in August 2025 he became the first-ever Mission Columbus Ministry Assistant. Prior to this John volunteered his IT services both at CBA and at Valley Rescue Mission. John married Wendy in 1980, and they are members of Schomburg Road Baptist Church.

Since John’s baptism in 1973 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, the same building where he now serves, a life-assuring verse for him has been 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
